 Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one part of a whole spectrum of treatments known as Traditional Chinese Medicine

It is one of the most ancient systems of medicine known to mankind.

An Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of fine needles into points on the body.The points are located on "Channels" or "Meridians" along which energy or "Qi" flows, and are known as acupoints or acupuncture points. Illness is viewed as an imbalance of this Qi, this imbalance is influenced by acupuncture. 

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a form of treatment that can be used in conjunction with acupuncture.

Moxibustion is the term used to describe the burning of a herb called mugwort, close to or on the skin. It is used to add gentle heat to the body in "Cold" conditions eg. frozen shoulder and is also used to nourish Qi and Blood.

Cupping  

Cupping is a form of treatment, used when Qi is stagnant, stuck or not moving.The cup can be placed directly over the inserted acupuncture needle, or onto an area of pain. Before the cup is applied to the body, the practitioner creates a vacuum inside the cup using a lighted taper.

The vacuum creates a suction that gently draws the Qi and Blood to the surface releasing blocked Qi and pathogens.
